Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode, established in 1976, holds the distinction of being the first graduate Homoeopathic Medical College in Asia. The college began its journey by acquiring a historical mansion that once belonged to the manager of the Pearce Leslie Cashew Factory during the British Raj, located at Karaparamba, Kozhikode.
The institution was affiliated with the University of Calicut until 2010 and is now affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur. It is recognized by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), New Delhi (formerly CCH).
The institution houses a well-equipped Super Specialty Hospital Block within the campus, supporting both clinical education and patient care. Key features include: 8 departmental Outpatient (OP) units, 6 Speciality OPs, 3 Project OPs. Inpatient department with over 100 beds, providing round-the-clock medical care. This integrated hospital setup plays a vital role in the hands-on clinical training of students and serves the healthcare needs of the community.
